Low blood sugar affects everyone differently. Irritability is one sign of it, but not necessarily violence. I know that sometimes when my sugar level gets too low, I can be combative, but usually only verbally, and nothing physical, and when my sugar levels come back up, I tend not to remember much either. If he/she is acting violently, there might be something more going on. You may want to monitor the sugar levels more often, to keep a heads up on when the level is dropping, and catch it before it gets to that point, so avoid this. Also, talking to his/her doctor about this might be a good idea.
