Your three hour glucose tolerance test has a 12 hour fasting period attached to it, absolutely no eating. No drinking either except for small sips of water. Don't exercise or smoke before hand either. All of these can screw up your results. Go into the lab as soon as they open and they'll bring you back as soon as you get there to give you the glucose and take your fasting sugar as well as your glycohemoglobin.
I'm not going to lie, sitting there for that long hungry sucks, but it's better than having to repeat the test again because you ate a bowl of cereal.
