The easiest meter in my experience, is the Accu-Chek Compact Plus. What makes it easier is that the strips are loaded into the meter with a 17 strip drum. There's no coding like in other meters, the amout of blood is small and the lancing device is integrated with the meter, This makes it compact and convenient for people on the go.
The only drawback is the cost of the strips which is around $85-90 per hundred.
The other meter I use is the TrueTrack meter by Home Diagnostics.
The strips are individual and so is the lancing device which makes it less convenient since you need to be sure you keep them all together for use.
The big advantge with the TrueTrack is that the cost of strips is around 30 percent cheaper.
I like both meters and use the TrueTrack at home and just put the Accu-chek in my pocket when i am at work or travelling. This gives me the best of both worlds.
